Targa d’Oro Alassio

For more than 70 years, the finest bocce players have been competing for the Targa d’Oro Alassio in this Italian version of the sport of bowls.

The competition, which is held in April, sees more than one thousand competitors descend on Alassio from Italy, France, Monaco, Switzerland and Croatia. They include a number of current national and international champions, highly experienced players who have won many titles in the past, and young players from the youth age groups.
 
It is an event dedicated to dedicated fans of the sport and newcomers. If you are on the coast in Alassio during the event, come and watch these skilful players at one of the three venues: Palasport Ravizza in Via San Giovanni Battista, Bocciofila Comunale in Via Dell’Oro and Le Fenarina in Via Pian del Moro. It will be a unique opportunity to learn more about this ancient game and to soak up the atmosphere that this event brings to the town.
