Between the mountains and the sea, exploring the area inland of AlassioSome of Liguria’s best views are reserved for hikers on the trails in the hills. On the cobbled tracks which used to link the villages, once the preserve of shepherds and woodcutters, you can get a real feel of the beautiful countryside of Alassio.
Starting in the town centre there is a network of paths which climb gently through the olive groves and dry stone walls and out onto the lush green hillsides.
Take a deep breath here to savour the unmistakable fragrance of the Mediterranean brush and enjoy the silence still to be found in these places.
