I love my town and with each of my stories I think you will fall in love with it too. Oh, I nearly forgot: if there is no sea view, it's not for me!
The route from Madonna della Guardia to the Via Iulia Augusta via the cyclepath is an ideal option for a bike ride with great sea views that offers no significant difficulties.
Madonna della Guardia is the highest and most beautiful point of the cyclepath. From there, you can savour the wonderful views ranging from the Ligurian Alps, with summits topping 2,600 m, to the vast expanse of the deep blue ocean. A peaceful and tranquil place where you can relax and feel revitalised.
One alternative routes to the cyclepath is the Via Iulia Augusta, which takes its name from the ancient Roman road that it follows. The route starts at Santa Croce church, which is well worth a visit at the end of your ride. Take a break to have a look inside the church and, if you time it right, enjoy the stunning sunset over the bay.
